Description

The following collection of fables, known in the world as Kalila and Dimna, is compiled for the Armenian reader, and includes the main and more important sections of Kalila and Dimna. The source of the book is the Old Indian Panchatantra (Five Principles) translated into Persian in the 6th century in the reign of the Sasanian King Khosrov Anushirvan. In further centuries this great pattern of medieval literature got popularity and became the property of many peoples in Europe and Asia. The book was translated from Persian into Armenian by Gevork Asatryan.
